I lived nearly two decades with a narcissist. Leaving was one of the hardest things I’ve done in my entire adult life, but my journey was not unique. About a year ago I decided to start openly sharing my experience. When I starting talking about the abuse, others shared their stories with me and I started the Facebook support page: Narcissistic Abuse Awareness. There I learned not enough is being done to provide resources, educate, and support victims and survivors. That’s when started this website and began providing personal life coaching services. When I was in my marriage, I felt isolated and left to languish at the hands of my abuser. When I left, the narcissist made sure to destroy my family and friend community. I felt retraumatized, misunderstood, and had nobody I could confide in or trust.
My goal is to offer hope and help victims understand they are not alone. I am here to listen, care and help others establish safer boundaries, get healthy, and find their freedom too.
I am not a licensed therapist, nor do I claim to be one. As a former victim, I understand sometimes what you need is for someone just to listen. After being gaslighted and stonewalled, just having someone understand and confirm you’re not going crazy can be a comfort in itself.
